While I am primarily a South Carolina Wedding Videographer, I also film weddings in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Nationwide. I also charge ZERO FEES in travel and/or lodging regardless the state you’re getting married in!

Being a filmmaker, I approach shooting and editing wedding films with a narrative perspective. I strive to create films that don’t simply document your wedding day but capture the essence of your love and your own personal love story.
I am an award winning filmmaker, have been working in video production and post production for over a decade, and I am fully equipped to handle all the your video needs. I attended the filmmaking program at UNCSA in Winston-Salem, NC before starting my career as a freelance videographer and editor in NYC before establishing John Appleton Weddings in Asheville, NC.

I can think on my feet and improvise when needed. It’s going to rain? Flip your reception room. I have umbrellas for you and my cameras! Tight ceremony space? Use telephoto lenses to shoot from far away. DJ doesn’t have an audio out? Set up a mic stand and place it directly in front of their speaker. Toast speaker is too loud and distorts the audio recording? Set up dual recording with a safety channel at a lower recording volume. When issues come up, I know how to solve them. Because they have, I did. I’ve garnered the experience and I’ve invested in the right gear.
